Synopsis

Two men have come to the Thing for help. They're from a corporation that is starting a nuclear reactor in California. It seems a super-powered bad guy has been killing their employees, and is threatening to destroy the reactor and the city of Los Angelese in an atomic holocaust. After seeing the videotape of the baddie, Ben signs on, and he and one of the men head for L.A. in the company jet. Ben pilots the jet (which is a sure invitation to disaster), and when something goes wrong and the plane crashes, Ben walks away from the wreckage. Now on foot, he tries to find a way to get to L.A. in time to prevent the disaster.Elsewhere, we see that the Negator (that bad guy) had been hired by a representative of an environmental group, someone who is uncomfortable with the death and wants the Negator to stop. The Negator refuses, killing the man who had hired him. While Ben makes his way to L.A., we learn that the man who had flown out with the Thing is a baddie as well, and he connects with the shipment of Plutonium, killing a few people as he does so. He makes sure that when the Thing almost catches up with the truck himself, the truck sails past, leaving Ben on the side of the highway.Ben manages to grab a ride from a big pink Cadillac that passes by not long after, one driven by... the She-Hulk. Ben convinces her to take him to Diablo Reactor, but the She-Hulk seems to have other things on her mind...
